- training carried out via a stand-alone or networked computer. Programs are usually interactive, so that students can select from multiple-choice options or key in their own answers. A popular medium for computer-based training is CD-ROM, although there is a growing trend toward online training, where computer-based training is delivered over the Internet or through company intranets. Computer-based training is a form of e-learning.
