Business Definition for: Cookie
- a file written to a computer's hard disk by an Internet application to store small amounts of information that can be accessed to identify users and customize interactions with them. Cookies contain such data as registration or login information, user preferences, shopping cart items, and credit card numbers and expiration dates. The name is derived from UNIX objects called "magic cookies."
