Business Definition for: Debit Card
- a card issued by a bank or financial institution and accepted by a merchant in payment for a transaction. Unlike the procedure with a credit card, purchases are deducted from the cardholder's account, as with a check, when the transaction takes place.

- A card much like a credit card, but takes money directly from the bank account rather than borrowing money at a rate of interest, and uses a PIN instead of a signature
