Business Definition for: Partnership
- according to the Partnership Act 1890, the relationship which exists between persons carrying on business in common with a view to profit. The liability of the individual partners is unlimited unless provided for by the partnership agreement. The Limited Partnership Act 1907 allows a partnership to contain one or more partners with limited liability so long as there is at least one partner with unlimited liability. A partnership consists of not more than 20 persons.
