Business Definition for: Acceptable Quality Level

  • the level at which an output of manufactured components is considered to be of satisfactory quality. Acceptable quality level is usually expressed with the number of defective items shown as a proportion of the total output. Today, owing to a general increase in competitive pressure, the only acceptable quality level is zero defects, so the term is rarely used.
