BNET Business Dictionary

Business Definition for: B-web

  • a business web, a group of complementary businesses that come together over the Internet. While each company retains its autonomous identity, the businesses work in unison to generate more income than they could do individually. Characteristics of b-webs include extranets, viral marketing, online marketplaces, and affiliate programs. The term was originally used by Don Tapscott, David Ticoll, and Alex Lowry in an article published by eCompany Now magazine.
