Business Definition for: Bogus Degree

  • a degree awarded by an organization of questionable or unrecognized standing, usually capitalizing on the naiveté of overseas students and the reputation of the education system of the host country. A bogus degree is normally offered by an organization with a similar sounding name to a university of good standing.
