Business Definition for: Team Briefing
- a regular meeting between managers or supervisors and their teams to exchange information and ideas. The idea of team briefing evolved from the concept of briefing groups, which was developed in the United Kingdom in the 1960s and promoted by the Industrial Society as a means of communicating systematically with managers and employees throughout an organization. The goal was to reduce misunderstandings and rumors and increase cooperation, employee commitment, and team building. Team briefings are characterized as being regular face-to-face meetings of small teams which are led by a team leader and are relevant to the work of the group, providing an opportunity for questions.
